Cornerback Kyle Arrington, who was cut by the Super Bowl XLIX champion Patriots on Monday, has agreed to a three-year contract with the Ravens, the team announced Wednesday. The deal is pending a physical.

Arrington is the latest veteran member of New England's championship secondary to change teams. Last year's starting cornerbacks, Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner (Saints), left as free agents, and Alfonzo Dennard was recently released.

The Ravens were looking for more depth at corner behind Jimmy Smith and Lardarius Webb, and the versatile Arrington, who can play either inside and outside, provides that. He's built a reputation as one of the league's best slot cover men. He was too rich for New England, which is trusting more in youngsters Logan Ryan and Malcolm Butler.

Arrington, 28, played for the Patriots for six seasons after going undrafted out of Hofstra in 2008. He started 56 games for them, and had a league-leading seven interceptions in 2011.
