Kurt Warner is getting back into football, this time as a coach.
Warner will be the offensive coordinator at Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Ariz. His son, Kade, was a sophomore receiver and linebacker last year. Kade caught 62 catches for 688 yards and six touchdowns last year, and his numbers will likely go up with dad running the offense.

The former Super Bowl MVP will be able to provide a lot of experience to these high school kids. Quarterback Austin Nuessle has already asked for advice.
"It's crazy how much he's helped me, from installing a new offense this year to teaching me how to read a defense and give us the best chance to succeed," Nuessle said to AZ Central. "It just gets me excited to see how much more I can learn with two more years left. I'm just soaking up everything he teaches me."
Last year, Warner helped out his son's high school football team by just being around. He'd show up to practices and answer questions from some of the players. At that time he talked about the opportunity to be able to talk to these kids.
"They're at an age when you not only get to teach them football but you get to represent what life is all about," Warner said to AZ Central in September. "I think any high school coach will say the same thing. You're helping them to grow up men. Along the way you're hoping to produce a couple of good football players. But really these guys are so impressionable in so many different ways. That's the coolest part, you feed into their life and use football as a microcosm of what life is all about and you teach them those lessons."
