The front-runner for first wide receiver selected in the 2015 NFL Draft became a little clearer Saturday.

West Virginia's Kevin White at 6-3, 215 pounds might have a slight lead after running times of 4.35 and 4.36 in the 40-yard dash.

Alabama's Amari Cooper ran well, too, posting times of 4.42 and 4.43. Cooper entered the event as the top receiver in many minds, and Oakland with the fourth pick in the draft is a potential landing place ... unless White has anything to say about it.

White had a monster season, catching 109 passes for 1,447 yards and 10 touchdowns. Many were just waiting to see him run.

"Kevin White is my No. 1 wide receiver," NFL.com analyst Mike Mayock claims. "He has strong hands and is a physical runner after the catch. The only question is his long speed, and there is a huge difference between him running 4.58 and 4.48. If he runs 4.5 or better, I think he's a lock top-10 pick."

Louisville's DeVante Parker is the third receiver mentioned as a potential top 10 pick, and he ran a solid 4.45. Parker looked a little lax on his catching drills at times but is still firmly entrenched as a probable top 15 selection.

Parker of course played with Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater at Louisville for three seasons and would like to play with him again.

"That would be really good to reunite with (Bridgewater)," Parker told reporters Thursday at the Combine. "We've got a good connection. That would be a good thing."

Arizona State's Jaelen Strong, Michigan's Devin Funchess, and Dorial Green-Beckham of Oklahoma (kind of) are also projected first-round picks in yet another strong receiver class.

Green-Beckham spent time with Missouri and Oklahoma but faced multiple off-field problems causing him to sit out last season. He's a 6-5, 237-pound freak athlete who ran a 4.49. If he can prove his troubles are behind him, Green-Beckham could be a top 20 pick.
