Remember when Tom Brady used to own Throwback Thursday for the Patriots? Now that title belongs to his wide receiver, Julian Edelman.

With one simple Facebook post after their win over the Colts in the AFC Championship Game — ‘Growing Pats’, the clever parody of the ‘Growing Pains’ theme song — he became the most likeable Patriot. The inspiration was simple: Edelman was just a fan of the sitcom.

"I've got a good team behind me," Edelman said. "We always bounce ideas off each other of things we did when we were younger. I watched that show, they watched that show, so we did something.

"The fans follow my social media stuff and they have fun. It’s just a way to communicate and interact those who support you."

The video not only went viral well beyond the NFL, but its brilliance caused a lot of more casual fans to side more toward New England for Super Bowl XLIX.

Edelman just has two words for all of them: "Go Pats."

Or was that Grow Pats?

That reminds us, we've got to watch this again.
