Josh McDaniels may have turned down an interview with the Bengals, but that doesn’t mean he isn't interested in ending up in Ohio.
According to a CantonRep.com, the Patriots’ offensive coordinator and hot coaching candidate is “enthusiastically interested” in the Browns’ head coaching job.
The reports says: “The Browns have used back channels to indicate a mutual preliminary interest, but they have not invited him to an early interview.”
McDaniels has already accepted an interview with the Packers, but the allure of working with a young, promising quarterback like Baker Mayfield may be more appealing to McDaniels than coaching Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay.
McDaniels clearly hasn’t scared away owners following his decision to back out on the Colts last offseason. He accepted their head job before changing his mind five days later and signing a new deal to stay in New England.
