Johnny Manziel is back in the news for the wrong reasons. He was pulled over by police in Avon, Ohio, on Monday after an argument inside his car with his girlfriend got out of hand, according to Cleveland television station WEWS . Police told WEWS that Manziel admitted to drinking alcohol.

According to an incident report by the Avon Police Department , an officer “was dispatched to the area of (Interstate) 90 westbound for the report of a white Nissan traveling at high rate of speed with a female passenger tying to exit the vehicle and the male driver puling her back inside.”

According to the police report obtained by WEWS, Manziel and his girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, admitted to drinking earlier in the day in Cleveland and having an argument in which Crowley threw a wallet out a car window.

Crowley also said Manziel pushed her head into a window. Police did see an abrasion on her arm, but determined it was the result of Manziel trying to pull her back into the vehicle.

The report said police did not believe Crowley or Manziel were intoxicated to the point where they could be charged. Crowley chose not to press charges and both left in Manziel's car.

Crowley posted a statement on Instagram on Friday evening:

Before things get blown out of proportion.

"We were aware of the situation. It is a matter that we take seriously and have expressed our concerns to Johnny directly. Those conversations will remain private and we will refrain from further comment at this time," Farmer said.
