Jets supporter Joe Namath thanks 'Football Gods' for Alabama image

The Jets on Saturday again looked terrible, which shouldn't be much of a surprise for a team that entered Week 16 with a record of 4-10 and faced the 12-2 Patriots.

Joe Namath, who regularly tweets commentary during his former team's games, was trying hard to remain optimistic.

Namath played three seasons at Alabama before he began his Hall of Fame pro football career, the vast majority of which was spent with the Jets.

The Crimson Tide, of course, has a chance to repeat as college football's national champion this season.

The Jets, meanwhile, continue to be an embarrassment in the NFL.
