Jets linebacker Darron Lee has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy and program for substances of abuse.

The Jets announced the suspension Friday.

Lee was a first-round pick by the Jets in 2016 and has started every game this season while tallying 74 total tackles (43 solo).

The former Ohio State linebacker has started 36 games since coming into the NFL in 2016.

He is eligible to return to action Dec. 31 following the Jets' game against the Patriots.
