Jerry Hughes has blossomed into one of the NFL's better pass rushers over the last couple seasons. Now he'll be paid like one.

The Bills and the 26-year-old defensive end have agreed to a contract extension, the team announced Monday without disclosing terms. ESPN reports the deal is worth over $45 million for five years.

Hughes had 10 sacks in each of his two seasons with the Bills since coming over in a trade from the Colts prior to the 2013 season. He also forced three fumbles while playing alongside three Pro Bowl picks on Buffalo's defensive line last season.
