'He's a great effing player:' Jayden Daniels draws rave reactions from Ja'Marr Chase, more NFL stars image

Jayden Daniels upstaged fellow LSU Heisman winner Joe Burrow in his primetime debut Monday night, beating the Bengals in Cincinnati 38-33.

Not only did the rookie quarterback earn his first passing touchdown, but he also threw it to an offensive tackle and added another before the end of the night.

Daniels also ran one in on his way to completing 21-of-23 passes for 254 yards and a 91-percent completion rate — the best by a first-year quarterback with at least 20 attempts in a single game.

The win was his coming out party of sorts, and Daniels impressed more than just the Commanders faithful. Even his opponents had to give him props after the final whistle — he was that good.

Reactions to Jayden Daniels 'Monday Night Football' performance

Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase was among several athletes to react to Daniels' historic night. Additionally, fellow Commander and receiver Terry McLaurin also complimented his quarterback, along with JJ Watt, Robert Griffin III, Kirk Herbstreit, and Magic Johnson.

Jayden Daniels stats vs. Bengals

His third NFL start in Cincinnati was by far his best, moving Washington to 2-1 on the young season. After losing his debut to the Bucs in Tampa, Daniels redeemed himself ni Week 2 with a narrow win over the Giants at home. 

However, Monday night the quarterback achieved career highs in passing yards, completion percentage, and passing scores. He also has yet to throw an interception. Here's how Daniels did against the Bengals.
