Jamie Collins admits he is not Von Miller: 'Let's be smart' image

Jamie Collins is taking his shocking trade in stride.

The linebacker addressed the surprise move Tuesday but said he has already gotten over it.

STEELE: Collins getting trashed is pathetic and predictable

"I'm not the type to pout about anything," Collins said, via Cleveland.com. "This is my new home. This is my focus. I'm ready."

Collins said he also feels like he is auditioning for the other 31 teams in the league because he will be a free agent after this season.

The move left Patriots fans wondering why coach Bill Belichick would trade away the Pro Bowl linebacker for a third-round pick, especially when the Patriots have a dominating 7-1 record.

Even Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was surprised, saying, “It could happen to anybody."

Some speculated that Collins was asking for "Von Miller-type money," but Collins quashed those rumors.

MORE: Why the trade makes sense for Patriots

"I'm not Von Miller. Let's be smart," Collins said, also debunking that the Patriots offered him $11 million per year.

For now, Collins will have to do his best to help bring the Browns out of a winless season.
