Austin Seferian-Jenkins' time with the Jaguars appears over after one season.
Or maybe not.
The tight end raised eyebrows with a tweet Thursday seemingly thanking the city of Jacksonville and Jaguars fans.
"Appreciate the time Jax! It wasn’t what we wanted! But I’m happy y’all supported me and my teammates! Next chapter," the tweet read.

However, Jaguars spokesperson Tad Dickman quickly responded with a tweet noting, "The team HAS NOT made a decision on his 2019 option. Any reports to the contrary are false." The team has until Feb. 19 to decided whether to pick up the option on Seferian-Jenkins.

The club has until Feb. 19 to make a decision on his 2019 option, which would be the 2nd season of a 2-year deal.

That tweet prompted a response from Jenkins. In a reply to ESPN writer Rich Cimini in which he alluded to Seferian-Jenkins being one and done in Jacksonville, he stepped back his initial tweet a bit.
"Thanks Rich lol so if I finished the deal would it of been 2 and done?"

It's hard to imagine how this could get any more awkward.
Seferian-Jenkins signed a two-year, $10 million deal with the Jaguars in June 2018. He missed all but five games last season with a core muscle injury, catching 11 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown. Jacksonville is the 26-year-old tight end's third NFL stop, following stints with the Jets and Buccaneers.
