The Jaguars' come-from-behind win over the Chargers on Saturday left the team hungry for another playoff round — and eager to take a parting shot at the visiting team.

Following the conclusion of Jacksonville's 31-30 wild-card victory, one that included an improbable 27-0 comeback, the Jaguars' Twitter account made a humorous callback to a legendary tweet — by internet standards, anyway — from the Chargers:

For those not in the know, that's in reference to a random tweet dating all the way back to 2007, when the Chargers randomly tweeted about taking their wife to P.F. Chang's. Whether the tweet was purposeful or not remains a mystery, but it's certainly not something expected coming from an NFL team account.

The tweet has remained up since then, so it's clear the franchise has embraced it.

Indeed, the Chargers' Twitter account brought the tweet back to life in November amid rumors that Twitter would collapse under the new management of Elon Musk. It's a fun bit of internet history, but one that most people wouldn't know about unless something brought their attention to it.

Enter the Jaguars, whose social media manager is clearly an internet historian (or, you know, does a good job managing the account). Either way, Jacksonville is off to the divisional round, whereas the Chargers are heading home for the remainder of the playoffs.

The team will certainly wonder what could have been after surrendering one of the more notable comeback defeats in playoff history. The team must also grapple with the future of coach Brandon Staley, who is at the center of his team's collapse.

The good news? There are several P.F. Chang's around Los Angeles in which the Chargers can drown their playoff sorrow.
