Greg Hardy had his domestic assault charges dropped by a North Carolina court, but the defensive end still might have to answer to the NFL.

Friel will determine if Hardy violated the league's personal conduct policy.

In light of the scrutiny the NFL has received over domestic assault cases this past year, it will most likely request the full transcript from the 2014 hearing where the alleged victim, Nicole Holder, testified against Hardy, according to Pro Football Talk

Hardy's domestic assault charges were dropped Monday after Holder didn't appear to testify before a jury.

The NFL is also entitled to explore why Holder didn't show up. If she and Hardy settled outside of court with a payoff, the league can see if the payment is a violation of its policy, according to the report.
