One Lions wide receiver was not going to blow his — slides on sunglasses — golden opportunity.

It looked as though the Lions were facing a certain loss to the top team in the NFC North after the Vikings scored a touchdown to go up 16-13 with only 23 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter Sunday. But Matthew Stafford led the Lions offense to the Minnesota 40-yard line on the ensuing drive, giving Matt Prater a shot at a 58-yard field goal which he hit to send the game to overtime.

The Lions then took the first possession of the extra period into Vikings territory. Stafford hit Golden Tate on an out route, and Tate handled the rest.

Tate managed to tiptoe along the sideline without going out of bounds, and he threw in a probably unnecessary yet incredibly awesome dive into the end zone.

Poor Harrison Smith got the worst of it. Someone edited his Wikipedia page and noted he was "planted into the deep depths of Earth, by way of Golden Tate stiff arm."

The Lions moved to 5-4 while the Vikings dropped to 5-3 after losing their third consecutive game.
