FSU star Dalvin Cook declares for NFL Draft image

After Dalvin Cook won MVP honors in leading Florida State to a win over Michigan in the Orange Bowl Friday night, the question quickly surfaced: Would he return to FSU for his senior season?

Cook answered that question less than 24 hours later, declaring his eligibility for the 2016 NFL Draft. He announced the move via live video through his Instagram account.

The All-American running back certainly has nothing left to prove in Tallahassee. He owns most of the major FSU rushing records, including career rushing yards (4,464), single-season rushing yards (1,765 in 2016) and career touchdowns (46).

And he leaves on a high note, after racking up 207 yards in total offense to lead the Seminoles to a 33-32 win over Michigan.

Cook is widely regarded as the second-best running back prospect, behind LSU's Leonard Fournette in the 2017 draft. The 5-11, 213 pound back is projected to go sometime early in the first round, possibly in the top 10.

"Whoever drafts him will be the luckiest team in the world. Somebody is going to be happy," FSU coach Jimbo Fisher told reporters Friday.
