Former USC, Raiders QB Todd Marinovich charged after nude break-in image

Former USC and Oakland Raiders quarterback Todd Marinovich has been charged after he was found naked in an Irvine, Calif., backyard.

Marinovich, 47, was charged Tuesday with attempted aggravated trespass of a residence, trespassing, public nudity and possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, the Los Angeles Times reported. Each of the counts are misdemeanors.

He also faces another charge for marijuana possession.

Marinovich could face up to three years in jail if he is convicted of all charges. He was arrested Aug. 19 after he was discovered trying to pry open the sliding glass door of the Irvine residence.

The former quarterback has had multiple drug-related incidents. He was arrested for cocaine possession in 1990 and was dropped from the Raiders squad after two seasons for repeated drug abuse. He also was arrested in 1997 for cultivating marijuana; in 2000 on suspicion of heroin possession; in 2005 for drug possession; and in 2007 for felony possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a hypodermic needle and resisting arrest.

Marinovich led USC to a Rose Bowl victory over Michigan in 1990.

He was drafted 21st overall in 1991 by the Raiders and spent two seasons with the team before he was released.
