Report: Erik Walden's ex attacked LB with gun, baseball bat, knife image

Colts linebacker Erik Walden was allegedly slashed in the arm by his former girlfriend earlier this month, but the situation evidently could have turned out much worse.

Erica Palmer, Walden's ex, was arrested on numerous charges after being accused of slashing Walden and breaking a woman's arm with a baseball bat, according to 11Alive in Georgia.

Palmer allegedly went inside Walden's home and waited for the NFL player and a woman who accompanied him. Walden and the woman returned to Palmer sitting on the couch with a gun and a baseball bat, according to the report.

Walden reportedly wrestled the gun away from her, but Palmer in the process swung the bat and struck the woman, breaking her arm. Palmer then ran away before police arrived to take questions.

But the altercation doesn't stop here.

The report claims when Walden later went to his car to take the woman to the hospital, Palmer came out of the woods with a knife and managed to slash Walden in the arm.

Palmer again ran away, but Police tracked her cell phone to a nearby hotel. She was arrested on charges including burglary and several counts of aggravated assault.

Palmer and Walden have two children, both of which have been placed in Walden's care, according to the report.

Walden started 15 games for the Colts last season. He recorded six sacks and a forced fumble.
