Earl Thomas could be heading for retirement, according to a tweet he sent out on Sunday night.
During the Seahawks' matchup with the Panthers, the Seattle safety collided with teammate Kam Chancellor while defending a pass deep over the middle. He would exit the game with an apparent leg injury.

The injury seemed serious, with the "SNF" broadcast group mentioning that he couldn't put any weight on the injured leg on the sideline. He would eventually be carted off the field.
#Seahawks S Earl Thomas suffered a broken bone in his leg in the first half, sources say. He's out indefinitely. Brutal injury.

Thomas would later send out a tweet from his verified Twitter account, claiming he was seriously considering retirement.
This game has been so good to me no regrets.. A lot is running through my mind including retirement thanks for all the prayers.

The 27-year-old Thomas is in his seventh year in the league, and it would be a huge blow to the future of the "Legion of Boom" if Thomas were to walk away from the game.
Get well, Earl.
