Donatayvion Wicks injury update: Packers WR exits Week 6 game vs. Cardinals with shoulder issue image

The Packers rolled to a 34-13 win in their Week 6 duel against the Cardinals, with Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs, and the rest of Green Bay's attack looking fearsome during the contest's opening paces.

Fueled by Love, who tallied four scores throughout the game, the Packers looked in control from start to finish. However, one area of concern for Green Bay came when one of its more useful targets — second-year pass-catcher Dontayvion Wicks — appeared to sustain a shoulder issue and left the game.

Here's the latest on the talented wideout and his status going forward.

Donatayvion Wicks injury update

Wicks left Sunday's contest after sustaining a shoulder injury partway through Sunday's clash with the Cardinals. The Virginia alum was briefly examined by medical personnel before being ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Wicks nabbed one catch for nine yards at the time of his exit.

On Monday, Fox Sports insider Jordan Schultz provided an update on Wicks' status, detailing that the receiver had an MRI on his shoulder and is considered week-to-week after avoiding a serious injury.

Wicks has struggled to maintain the level of performance he put forth earlier in the year, particularly a five-catch, 78-yard, two-touchdown outing against the Vikings, but he remains a valuable part of the Packers receiving corps.

It remains to be seen if Wicks will be available in Week 7, but he did avoid a long-term injury, and his status will continue to be monitored moving forward.
