Reports: Dolphins' Dion Jordan suspended for 2015 season image

Consider defensive end a draft need for the Dolphins as of Tuesday afternoon. Dion Jordan is suspended for the 2015 season after his second substance abuse policy violation, according to multiple reports.

Jordan did not fail another drug test, but he provided a diluted sample, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jordan reportedly will not appeal the decision.

Schefter also included a nugget about an interesting deal that will no longer take place.

The Dolphins selected Jordan, 25, with the third overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft after trading their first- and second-round picks to move up. After a solid rookie season, the Oregon product violated the NFL's drug policy twice in 2014, with the first (performance-enhancing substance) resulting in a four-game suspension and the second (substance abuse) adding an additional two games.

Jordan this year was owed a salary of $585,000 and a $1.69 million roster bonus. He loses the salary, but bonus may be up for grabs.
