Dez Bryant was helped off the Saints practice field Friday afternoon with an injury the team fears is a torn Achilles tendon, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports.
Bryant was reportedly getting an MRI Friday afternoon. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the injury happened at the end of practice.

Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com noted the injury occured as Bryant ran a route on the scout team.
Schefter reported the team believes the injury will sideline Bryant for eight months, but he could possibly be ready for training camp.
The veteran wide receiver, who had been seeking a new team since the Cowboys released him in April, had just signed a one-year deal with New Orleans on Wednesday. According to ESPN.com, Bryant's deal will pay him a prorated base salary of $600,000 for the remainder of the season with an additional $500,000 in incentives possible.
While Bryant, who turned 30 Sunday, faces a tough rehabilitation, he had a positive attitude in a tweet shortly after suffering the injury.
"Things was just starting to heat up for me … I won’t question the man upstairs … this is the ultimate test … thank you everyone for the prayers," Bryant tweeted.

Although Bryant participated in the Saints practice Friday, he had not been expected to play Sunday against the Bengals.
