The Jets found a player with big-play potential at the top of the second round in Ohio State receiver Devin Smith.

The 2014 All-Big Ten selection led the Buckeyes last year with 931 receiving yards on just 33 receptions. His average of 28.2 yards per reception led the nation by more than four yards per catch. Of his 33 catches, 12 of them went for touchdowns. Smith had four catches for 137 yards and three touchdowns in Ohio State's 59-0 torching of Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship game.

Smith will join Eric Decker, who led the Jets with 74 receptions for 932 yards last year, on a Jets receiving corps that is fairly thin and had lacked a big-play receiver. Percy Harvin had shown flashes, but the oft-injured receiver is now a member of the Bills.
