The Lions have trailed in every single game this season, and have won all those games by seven points or less. That's a pretty remarkable stat on its own, but it gets even more impressive when you add science behind it. And that's exactly what the people at PredictionMachine.com did this week.

After looking at the in-game odds for all seven victories, the site combined the numbers and determined the probability to win all of them under the same circumstances was 0.0025 percent, or one in every 40,000 chances (the website incorrectly says one in 400).

WEEK 13 PICKS: Straight up | Against the spread

For context, here are the live in-game odds provided by the website:

Week 1 vs. Indianapolis Colts (trailing 35-34 with 0:37 remaining): 34.7%
Week 5 vs. Philadelphia Eagles (trailing 23-21 with 6:40 remaining): 33.2%
Week 6 vs. Los Angeles Rams (trailing 28-21 with 14:09 remaining): 24.7%
Week 7 vs. Washington Redskins (trailing 17-13 with 1:09 remaining): 7.9%
Week 9 at Minnesota Vikings (trailing 16-13 with 0:23 remaining): 9.1%
Week 11 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (trailing 19-16 with 17:16 remaining): 41.6%
Week 12 vs. Minnesota Vikings (trailing 13-10 with 12:38 remaining): 29.4%

The Lions will face the Saints this week in what will probably be another close contest.
