The 49ers were almost without one of their most dangerous offensive weapons for the remainder of Super Bowl 58.

In the third quarter, star WR Deebo Samuel went down with an injury after running a route. He fell to the turf as the training staff ran out to his aid, taking the playmaker to the medical tent for further evaluation.

Samuel hadn't made his typical impact on this contest, only tallying two receptions for 24 yards and two carries for -1 yards at the time of the injury.

Deebo Samuel injury update

Samuel pulled up grabbing his left hamstring after running a route on third down in the third quarter.

The star WR went into the blue medical tent and was diagnosed with a left hamstring injury, but he was ruled as "questionable" to return.

After the 49ers' defense stopped the Chiefs on the ensuing possession, Samuel's hamstring felt strong enough to get back onto the field. While he hasn't had a catch or carry since his return, the impact player is back in action.
