Report: DeAngelo Hall restructures contract to stay in Washington image

Redskins veteran cornerback DeAngelo Hall has re-worked his contract to increase the likelihood that he stays in Washington next season, according to ESPN.

Hall, 32, re-signed with the Redskins last offseason for four years, but he played in just four games after tearing his Achilles. In restructuring his contract, Hall's $4 million base salary will no longer be guaranteed for 2015, making it more favorable for the Redskins to keep him on the roster should his injury impact his return in any way.

Washington likely will be doing some restructuring its defensive back corps, which forced seven interceptions all of last season and allowed a NFL-high 35 passing touchdowns.
