A body was reportedly found Tuesday at the New Jersey home of Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins.
Jenkins was out of the state when the incident occurred, according to a report from TMZ Sports. Bergen County authorities are investigating the matter.
Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Brian Metzler told The Bergen County Record that authorities received a 911 call Tuesday at approximately 10:22 a.m. Jenkins typically spends the offseason in Florida, according to the Record’s report.
Acting prosecutor Dennis Calo told The Record the deceased was "a family friend of the residents."

Police are investigating strangulation/suffocation as a possible cause of death in the incident, according to a report from the NFL Network.
