There were questions about whether Davante Adams was even going to be able to play Thursday night. He turned in the game of his life.

The Packers receiver set career highs with 13 catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns in Green Bay's 26-10 victory over the Bears at Lambeau Field.

WEEK 7 PICKS: Straight up | Against the spread

Adams was evaluated for a concussion in last Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Cowboys. He wasn't cleared to play Thursday until about six hours before kickoff.

"One of our scouts called me 'Baby Jesus' for coming back on a short week," the third-year receiver from Fresno State said on NFL Network following the game.

The Packers offense has been extremely inconsistent, with quarterback Aaron Rodgers fielding the brunt of criticism because of a career-low completion percentage of 60.2 and passer rating of 88.4 heading into the game.

"We've had our ups and downs, and we've raised expectations because of the last couple of years," Adams said. "We've got playmakers and we've got the best quarterback in the game. We can attack several defenses. It was just a matter of execution."

While injuries kept running backs Eddie Lacy and James Starks out of the game and rendered the Packers' ground game rather nonexistent, Green Bay still dominated time of possession Thursday, nearly doubling up the Bears.

Rodgers couldn't get much going in the first half as the Packers held a 6-3 lead and then fumbled into the end zone at the start of the third quarter. The Bears recovered to take a 10-6 lead. Rodgers said that play lit a fire under him and the Packers offense got into a rhythm.

Rodgers finished 39 of 56 for 326 yards and three touchdowns to set a career high and franchise record for completions in a game.

"A lot of times these records are set in losses when you're playing from behind and having to throw a lot," Rodgers said. "But records are meant to be broken and I'm sure this will be broken too. Maybe by me."

A third of those completions went to Adams, who was just one off the Packers' single-game catch record of 14 set in 1942 by Hall of Famer Don Hutson. Adams was also the first player ever with at least 10 catches, 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns in a game at Lambeau Field.

"Anytime you can talk about records for the Green Bay Packers, all-time, that's unique," Packers coach Mike McCarthy told reporters. "Davante was given a lot of opportunities ... and took advantage of it."

Joining Adams in double-digit receptions were Randall Cobb, who had 11 receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown, and Ty Montgomery, who caught 10 passes for 66 yards. It's just the second time since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger a team had three players with at least 10 catches in the same game.

Adams said he got into a "groove" as, by himself, he eclipsed the combined 10 catches for 130 yards by the Bears.

"This is a big game for him and his confidence," Rodgers said. "This isn't a guy who lacks in confidence, but any time you do it consistently, he felt it. We felt good about the matchup. When a receiver is dictating to you what routes he wants, that's the kind of mindset you want because he felt like he was not able to be guarded."
