The Raiders-49ers joint practice got out to a rocky start, as Las Vegas star wide receiver Davante Adams left Friday's session with a leg injury.
In the first play of team drills between the two squads, Adams took a hit from 49ers cornerback Charvarius Ward. He stayed down for a bit before he walked off to the sidelines and eventually left for the locker room.
Adams is arguably the Raiders' best offensive weapon, and the clear-cut top wide receiver on the team. The six-time Pro Bowler paced all Las Vegas receivers last year in receptions (100), receiving yards (1,516) and touchdowns (14).
The 30-year-old is entering his second season with the Raiders after he was acquired in the 2022 offseason from the Packers.

He reportedly stayed down on the field for awhile and needed help getting to the sideline.
According to The Athletic's Tashan Reed, the Raiders training staff was seen putting a sleeve around the right shin of Adams. He was taken to the locker room and had a noticeable limp while leaving the playing area.
Trainers put some sort of sleeve on Adams' right shin area. He's walking gingerly off the field now with a limp.

He is walking off to locker room with a less-pronounced limp. Points at his calf. Looks woozy.

Despite the hit to the star wide receiver, there was no altercation as a result of the collision.
Was surprised at the lack of reaction from teammates after Ward hit Adams. Maybe they were in shock.

But if you hit my guy …
Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said after the practice that he didn't think Adams suffered anything "crazy serious" and said that it was "totally clean" on both sides.
