Revis Island could be closing soon.

A person close to Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis told the New York Daily News that Revis no longer wants to play and is just finishing out the season.

"He's done," the unidentified source told the Daily News. "If he had his way, he'd be done right now. He doesn't want to play anymore. He's made a lot of money."

Revis is having the worst season of his 10-year career for the Jets, who are 3-8 heading into Monday's game against the Colts. Many thought the Jets would challenge the Patriots this season in the AFC East, but that has clearly not happened.

Revis, a seven-time Pro Bowler, has 43 tackles with a career-low two pass breakups and zero interceptions or forced fumbles for the first time in his career. The 31-year-old from the University of Pittsburgh was a first-round draft pick of the Jets in 2007. He remained with the Jets through the 2012 season before signing as a free agent with the Buccaneers.

After a season in Tampa, he helped the Patriots win Super Bowl XLIX before signing a five-year, $70 million contract to return to the Jets last year. He had $39 million guaranteed and carried a price tag of $17 million this season.

The person close to Revis told the Daily News that Revis has "tanked it" this year.

Revis said in June he was going to play "until the wheels fall off." The lugnuts are loose.
