Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams was arrested on a charge of public intoxication Saturday morning after allegedly crashing his Lamborghini into a pole and leaving the scene of the accident, according to a report by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Police in Frisco, Texas, responded to the accident at approximately 4:45 a.m., according to a statement the department gave the Star-Telegram. The driver of the car allegedly fled the scene, and Frisco Police discovered it was registered to Williams.
Williams, 28, was arrested on the public intoxication charge, a Class C misdemeanor, when he was located riding an electric scooter near his home, according to the Star-Telegram’s report.
Williams was taken to the Frisco Detention Center and was released on a $369 bond, according to the report. The Cowboys are aware of the incident.
Williams was selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Cowboys, and he has spent his entire five-year career with the team. He caught 53 passes for 568 yards last season.
