Coach Jason Garrett, Cowboys agree to new deal image

If nothing else, the Cowboys are making sure to keep Jason Garrett.

Dallas has signed its head coach to a new five-year, $30 million contract, according to ESPN Dallas.

"This is a great organization," Garrett told 105.3 The Fan on Monday. "I think we really built a football team that we can be proud of, and there are some really good things ahead for this team."

The Cowboys also re-signed defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli to a three-year deal.

Garrett led the Cowboys to a 12-4 record and an NFC East title before a win over the Lions in the NFC wild-card game. They bowed out of the playoffs with a 26-21 loss to the Packers on Sunday.

Garrett’s career coaching record rests at 42-32.
