If you thought the Cowboys took a chance on Greg Hardy, wait until you hear about their newest defensive end.

On Wednesday, the Cowboys announced the signing of British player Efe Obada of the London Warriors.

Obada, who has played just five games of organized American football, currently lives outside of London in the town of Stevenage and works as a warehouse storeman for Grace Foods.

The 22-year-old Obada played defensive end and tight end for the Warriors, but the Cowboys expect to use his 6-6, 255-pound frame exclusively on the defensive side of the ball.

“This is a dream,” Obada said, according to NFLUK.com. “It’s amazing and life-changing. It’s a major turning point in my life and feels like a movie ... This is unreal — this doesn’t happen to people like me. I’ve never even been outside of London since I arrived in the UK.”

Warriors defensive coordinator Aden Durde, who spotted Obanda, spent last summer as an intern with the Cowboys.

Although he is considered a long shot to make the roster, the Cowboys signed Obanda to a three-year deal at the league minimum salary.
