Halliday signed with Washington after going unselected in the 2015 NFL Draft. He threw for 11,304 yards and 90 touchdowns in 35 career college games.
His retirement leaves the Redskins with Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy as the quarterbacks on the team's active roster.
