Broncos running back C.J. Anderson will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his injured knee, according to multiple reports Thursday afternoon, and could be headed to the injured reserve list.
Anderson had sought a second opinion on the knee he injured Monday against the Texans. Apparently, the news he got was not good.

Devontae Booker, who stepped in for Anderson on Monday and rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries, is expected to move into the starting role. Kapri Bibbs is listed as the No. 3 running back on Denver's depth chart.
Thursday morning, Ian Rappoport of NFL Media tweeted that Broncos running back C.J. Anderson had told "people close to him" that he's done for the season with a knee injury.

Four minutes later, Anderson himself quoted that tweet with a one-word response: "False." He then added in another tweet: "The false report that people have is crazy we would know later today what's going on so please don't believe these false allegations".
WIthin minutes, though, those denials had disappeared from the 25-year-old's timeline, leaving Broncos fans and fantasy owners in suspense about his status.
Anderson was injured Monday night against the Texans and reportedly was seeking a second opinion Wednesday with the expectation that he and the team would know more about his injury and timetable Thursday.
