Mitchell Trubisky is not the most popular player in Chicago right now.

This is made clearly evident by how a Blackhawks crowd reacted to a child's choice for his Halloween costume.

When the youngster was interviewed during the Blackhawks-Golden Knights game in Chicago Tuesday he was asked a couple of questions about his favorite players and costume plans.

The exchange is funny … unless you happen to be Trubisky.

"Who's your favorite Blackhawk?"

"Jonathan Toews. Because he's the captain and he's good," he said, via The Athletic.

"What are you going to be for Halloween?"

"A football player," he said.

"Which player?"

"Mitch Trubisky," he said.

Crowd: "BOOOOOOOO."

Trubisky is coming off of a year in which he made the Pro Bowl and led the Bears to a 12-4 record. But the NFL is a "what have you done for me lately?" league, and his 31.8 QBR and 8.1 yards per completion are not supremely popular among Chicago fans.

They can't be if fans will boo a child simply in response to his name.

The 3-3 Bears take on the 2-5 Chargers at home on Sunday.
