Chad Ochocinco Johnson is one of the most self-assured receivers to ever play the game. But the former Bengals receiver is willing to give props when it's deserved, and he relinquishes the title of the best franchise receiver to a more current player.

“To me he’s the greatest (Bengals receiver) of all time because he can do things I wasn’t able to do,” Johnson told Bengals.com about A.J. Green. “High-point the ball. And he’s a much more consistent pass catcher than I was."

FANTASY: Best Week 9 pickups

Johnson's praise is surely much appreciated by Green, but let's not forget Johnson's career. He currently holds the franchise record for receptions (751), receiving yards (10,783) and receiving touchdowns (66).

However, If Green remains in Cincinnati, he'll surely break Johnson's records. He currently averages more yards per game (84.1) than Johnson did (71.4) as well as receptions.

“Records are made to be what?" Johnson asked, obviously expecting the response of "broken."

“What better player would you want to break your record?” Johnson added. “Someone like that. The dude is pure class and plays the way the game should be played at receiver.”
