The momentum of the "Sunday Night Football" showdown between the Steelers and Cowboys was derailed by a weather delay, but an improbable public figure brought the energy back into the game.
After an hour and a half thunder and lightning delay, NBC's broadcast rolled out a pump-up video of famous singer Celine Dion narrating the history of Pittsburgh and Dallas' rivalry.
Dion's hit single "It’s All Coming Back to Me Now" played in the background of old footage between the two marquee franchises, and the highlight reel was well-received on social media.

Celine Dion "Sunday Night Football" intro
“I think my favorite thing about this game is its power to connect who we are, to who we were. To prove that our most powerful memories, our most enduring loves, can stay with us forever," Dion began as the camera showed her wearing a Super Bowl XXX sweatshirt, when the Cowboys beat the Steelers in the "big game" back in 1996.
“You know what I’m talking about, right? Sometimes, some nights, it all just comes back," Dion says as her hit single plays in the background.

Cowboys. Steelers. A timeless classic on Sunday Night Football. pic.twitter.com/RzgmLRk8L6
The Steelers and Cowboys' three Super Bowl matchups are the most between two franchises in NFL history, but it's been a while since we've seen them go head-to-head on a national stage.
It's been over 40 years since Pittsburgh and Dallas shared the primetime spotlight, last coming in 1982. The two marquee franchises have not even played each other since the 1996 Super Bowl.
The video ended on a note that no one could have expected — with Dion being doused in Gatorade, the same way that a Super Bowl-winning head coach would.
And that's what fired up the internet ahead of "Sunday Night Football."

Is Celine Dion a Cowboys or Steelers fan?
There is no confirmation if Dion is a Cowboys or Steelers fan — or why she was asked to narrate the "Sunday Night Football" intro video in the first place.
Dion is from Quebec, so it's not easy to draw a line to her potential NFL fandom.
