Carson Wentz injury update: Eagles QB likely to open camp on PUP list, report says image

One of the biggest questions for the Eagles remains the status of quarterback Carson Wentz, who suffered a season-ending injury last year.

It appears he will at least start training camp on the PUP list, according to NFL Network. He can come off the list at any time, and it's not an indication of his status for the beginning of the season.

Wentz has been rehabbing from a torn ACL he suffered in a game Dec. 10. He then had to watch as backup Nick Foles led the Eagles to their first Super Bowl championship. Wentz hasn't been cleared for full activity yet, but he is progressing well and last month his injury reportedly looked "invisible."

It also has been reported that the Eagles quarterback is "very confident" he will be ready for Week 1 of the 2018 season.

Wentz, 25, was enjoying a breakout season before his injury with almost 3,300 yards passing and 33 TD passes in 13 games.
