Quarterback Kyler Murray participated in the Cardinals' rookie minicamp Friday, a day after signing his four-year, $35 million deal. The No. 1 overall pick in the recent NFL Draft showed off his arm on an array of passes.

The 2018 Heisman Trophy winner will be under a microscope this season, with Cardinals fans having sky-high expectations.
“I’m ready to go. I cannot wait to play in front of (Cardinals fans)," Murray told reporters Friday.
But for now, Murray said he's just focusing on learning his new job. On that note, he said it helps that he's familiar with some of the terminology and concepts in new head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s offense.
“It’s pretty similar. I was surprisingly comfortable as far as communication," Murray said. "I think that’s helped me a lot.”
Despite expectations by most observers that Murray will be named the starter, Kingsbury said the quarterback competition in camp is open between Murray and Brett Hundley.
“I’m just going to work," Murray said, when asked about the starting role. "Would I love to start? Of course.”
The 21-year-old Murray seemed at ease fielding questions from the media, and comfortable with the expectations he faces in joining a team that finished an NFL-worst 3-13 last season. When asked how he feels that oddsmakers have put the Cardinals' 2019 over/under win total at 5, Murray said, “I don’t care what anyone else’s expectations are for this team.
“Obviously you want to deliver really bad, but you understand the process," Murray said. "I know the potential of this offense to be very dangerous … but that’s going to take some time.”
