Cam Newton may not get all the calls he wants during games, but a player who hit him late just got a fine.
Cardinals defensive tackle Rodney Gunter was fined $18,231 for a late hit on the Panthers quarterback in Sunday's game, according to the Charlotte Observer.

The second-year player's fine was identical to the one that teammate Calais Campbell received Wednesday for hitting Newton below the knees.
Newton was vocal about lack of protection from officials in the pocket after game, saying the hits were "taking the fun out of the game."
Panthers defensive back Leonard Johnson was fined $9,115 for a hit that knocked off Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer's helmet and resulted in an unnecessary roughness penalty in the same game, The Panthers won 30-20.
