"I would just ask that people pray for the kid who tried to break into my house," McCoy said Thursday, via ESPN.
McCoy’s father, Gerald Sr., was home when the teen burglar, Justin J. Frazier, entered the residence. He broke his wrist confronting Frazier.
"Just a lost kid," McCoy said. "(He) probably just needs some guidance. Ain't nothing to be upset over. It happens."

Frazier was charged with armed burglary of an occupied dwelling, armed burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, grand theft, aggravated assault and aggravated battery after being found at a neighbor’s home. He pulled out a pellet gun on Gerald Sr. before fleeing the residence on foot.
"Maybe it was supposed to happen that way," McCoy said. "Maybe he was supposed to break into my house. ... I forgive him."
