Desperate times call for desperate measures.

The Cleveland Browns are 0-12 heading into their bye week. With four opportunities remaining to get a win, they're ready to throw caution to the wind.

Browns coach Hue Jackson, who was nearly in tears following Sunday's 27-13 loss to the New York Giants, said Monday he's ready to "unleash" everything in the playbook.

"I haven't even opened the bag of tricks yet," Jackson said of the offense, which has averaged fewer than 10 points over the Browns' last four losses.

It's not yet determined whether quarterback Robert Griffin III will be able to play Dec. 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Griffin has been out since suffering a shoulder injury in Cleveland's season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jackson said Griffin will be tested this week to see if he's cleared to fully practice. The first-year Browns coach acknowledged the offensive line has to play better for the offense to have success. As for opening the bag of tricks, with only four games remaining in the season, one could ask what took so long.

"I do see improvement across the board, but it is not enough," Jackson said. "It is not enough to win at this level. We just have to keep working at it. That starts with me and it kind of trickles down everywhere else, but I have to get it fixed.

"There is an answer in there somewhere that is going to give us what we want, and we just have to keep searching for it."
