Broncos RB Montee Ball promises to return 'to win the job' image

Limited to five games last season by a groin injury, Broncos running back Montee Ball promised to return in 2015 "ready to win the job," per ESPN.

Ball was the starter entering the 2014 season but because of injuries and a lowly 3.12 yards per carry, he lost the job to Pro Bowl back C.J. Anderson.

With new offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak's one-cut zone running scheme, Ball may not be a favorite to start the season No. 1 on the depth chart as Anderson's speed and vision make him a better fit.

Ball has just one touchdown and 172 yards on 55 carries after the Broncos' first four games. As a backup to Knowshon Moreno in 2013, Ball had four touchdowns and 559 yards.
