An Eagles fan is claiming Giants receiver Brandon Marshall spit in his face during an argument before Sunday's game in Philadelphia.
Sporting News has obtained details on the incident from a fan (Dave R.) who was on the field at the time. The first confrontation, which took place during pregame warmups, was started by comments yelled by an Eagles fan, who we'll call "Cunningham" due to his jersey.
Cunningham was yelling at Marshall with comments like, "How's it gonna feel to be 0 and 3?" and, "Get all your catches in now during warm up, cause we know you can't catch during a game." Dave R. believes the second comment is what irked Marshall.
The Giants receiver then came over and responded, "Why you talking? Are you shaking? Don't shake. Don't shake." The Giants' staff then came over to escort Marshall away.

The fan remained on the field, though, and continued to shout things at Marshall.
"I'm in your head," Cunningham yelled. "You can't even take some verbal jabs from a fan, how you gonna play a game? All day I'm in your head."
This prompted Marshall to come over a second time and tell the fan, "Say it again, see if we don't fight. Come on, keep talking."
Marshall and Cunningham continued to shout, and during this altercation is when the fan alleges Marshall spit at him.
The main question regarding this incident is whether Marshall had intent with his spit. Dave R. tells us, "I can't say for sure Marshall's intentions. Spit did happen. It could have easily been a result of angry shouting."
Marshall has not yet commented on the altercation.
