The Bears brought in a new GM and head coach for 2015, and five-time Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall isn't convinced he's part of the plan.

Marshall's $7.5 million base salary becomes guaranteed if he's on the roster beyond March 12. The 30-year-old WR met with new GM Ryan Pace and coach John Fox on Jan. 21, but they gave him no assurances on his future with the team.

"I don't think anybody would be (comfortable) sitting in the gray, but this is the National Football League," Marshall told the Chicago Tribune. "This is our business. It's not a unique situation. It happens every single year.

"Like I said in the middle of the season, some players think that when you lose, oh, the coach is going to be gone. No, they move players, too. I get that and understand that."

If the Bears decide to release Marshall before March 12, they would save $7.7 million in cash and $3.95 million in salary cap space. But after signing a new four-year deal last May, Marshall wants to retire as a Bear.

"I definitely love Chicago, but I definitely understand it’s a business on both ends," Marshall said. "For me, I want to win. The organization wants to win. (Owner) Mrs. McCaskey wants to win, so, definitely aligned there. But there's a business side on both ends, and I get that."

Marshall had his worst statistical season since his 2006 rookie campaign, with just 61 catches for 721 yards in 13 games.
