Bob Schieffer offers solution for Deflategate on 'Face the Nation' image

If Bob Schieffer was NFL commissioner, Deflategate might not have ever happened.

On "Face the Nation," the long-time journalist reminded the world that the air pressure of a football is a pretty trivial issue in comparison to the government's foreign affairs.

"I know it's news," Schieffer said on Sunday morning. "But this Deflategate business does not seems as important as, say, whether to sign a nuclear deal with Iran."

Valid point.

Still, as a big MLB fan, Schieffer couldn't help but reminisce on how cheating was an everyday part of baseball and once caught, players' actions would be dealt with in the midst of the game. His solution to make sure Deflategate never happens again seems so obvious, it's a wonder the league hasn't adopted it already.

Schieffer 4 Commish 2016.
