A curious scene unfolded at the Bills-Jets game at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

Rather, it fell from the sky.

The game was delayed several minutes in the third quarter after a cable holding up a CBS SkyCam snapped, causing it to descend to the point it would have hindered play and become a danger to players and officials:

Video taken from the stands shows two cameramen working on the device before eventually removing it from the field:

The question now is whether the lengthy delay disrupted the flow of the game: It followed a 6-yard Zach Wilson completion to Braxton Berrios on third-and-2 to the Buffalo 22-yard line, setting up a go-ahead scoring opportunity for the Jets.

Three plays later, Wilson fumbled the ball, giving Buffalo possession and ruining an otherwise-promising scoring opportunity:

The Bills couldn't make anything of the turnover, as Josh Allen threw his second interception of the day two plays later. The Jets managed to score on the ensuing drive, going 19 yards for a touchdown in four plays.

No thanks to the SkyCam, of course.
