The Dolphins' lost season is ending poorly.

The capper was a fourth-quarter fight Sunday with the Bills that resulted in the ejections of wide receiver Jarvis Landry — after Landry had scored a touchdown — and running back Kenyan Drake, who flung a Bills player's helmet.

Officials were running out of things to throw after exhausting their supplies of flags and hats. Referee Jeff Triplette couldn't keep all the uniform numbers straight.

In all, five players were penalized, according to the NFL's official play-by-play: Landry, Drake, Miami receiver Kenny Stills, Bills center Ryan Groy and Bills cornerback Leonard Johnson. Triplette also identified Bills guard Richie Incognito, who was on the sideline during the skirmish, as being ejected, but the official play-by-play says Incognito wasn't penalized.

Lost among the confusion was the fact the Bills were fighting for a playoff berth, their first since 1999.
