Odell Beckham Jr. hasn't even played a game for the Browns yet, but teammate Baker Mayfield already has his back.
The Browns quarterback tweeted a challenge at Fox Sports Radio's Colin Cowherd Friday, after "The Herd" host said Beckham did not want to play in Cleveland.
“Odell Beckham’s not happy here," Cowherd said. "He’s not happy. Look at him. Does he look happy?’’
Cowherd also said Mayfield is "just a baby."
After Fox Sports tweeted Cowherd's remarks, Mayfield replied, "Come to Cleveland and ask O if he actually likes it. Just because you say you have a source doesn’t mean you’re not full of BS. And while you’re at it ... come see if I’m a baby."
"Nobody will be honest about this Cleveland thing. It has a chance to be a complete and utter dumpster fire... Odell didn't want to go here, the owner is a control freak, John Dorsey is a control freak, Freddie Kitchens could be over his head..." — @ColinCowherd pic.twitter.com/Igr7uuhrYn

It's not the first time Mayfield and Cowherd have sparred in public. Before the 2018 NFL Draft, Cowherd questioned Mayfield's draft prospects because of some of his actions in college.
Cowherd seemed sure of his claim that OBJ is unhappy in Cleveland. The Browns acquired the three-time Pro Bowl wideout from the Giants in a March 13 deal involving several other players and draft picks.
“I am saying I have it incredibly well-sourced that he was pissed when he got traded to Cleveland,’’ Cowherd said. “He doesn’t feel like he’s all in. … you think he’s going to be there in four years? I’ll make a bet.’’
The Browns were one of the surprise teams in the NFL last season, finishing 7-8-1 after going 1-31 the previous two seasons. And with a growing young core led by Mayfield, and the addition of OBJ, expectations will be much higher this season. But Cowherd said the situation in Cleveland is a looming "disaster."
“But nobody will just be honest about this Cleveland thing," Cowherd said. "It has a chance to be a complete and utter dumpster fire. … I’m not even mentioning Baker who’s a kid. He’s just a baby.
“Baker’s not my issue here. It’s a crazy owner, power-drunk GM, a coach that I think’s over his head, a superstar receiver who’s going to want a lot of attention and doesn’t want to be there. This thing has disaster potentially written all over it.’’
